Day Dreaming
I didn’t see you there,
Standing in the corner.
I really didn’t mean to stare.
I was only day dreaming,
About the moon and stars,
Until you started screaming.
I did not notice you,
Sitting across the room,
I really did not have a clue.
I guess I messed up your day dream,
about the moon and stars,
with my scream.
This poem is inspired by Shel Silverstein.
